The Energy Audit Program for Bowie Seniors is starting!

Bowie seniors (age 55+), take note! You will have the opportunity to save money and improve the comfort and safety of their homes by completing a home energy audit.

The first 100 eligible seniors to fill out an application and submit it to the city will receive a $100 rebate to cover the cost of completing a BGE Home Performance with Energy Star Audit.

First, visit www.bgesmartenergy.com to learn more about BGE’s $100 energy audit program, then complete and submit your application at www.cityofbowie.org/eap or by visiting City Hall’s Planning and Economic Development Office during open hours (M-F, 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.). Remember--only the first 100 eligible applicants will receive a rebate. Don’t wait to apply!

The application period began Dec. 4th and will continue until the city receives 100 applicants or until Jan. 31st. 2014.  Those selected will be notified from the city directly with instructions about scheduling an energy audit by e-mail or standard mail.  If you have any questions about the program, contact the city’s Sustainability Planner, Kristin Larson, at 301-809-3044 or klarson@cityofbowie.org.
