The Bowie Green Team is comprised of concerned citizens from a variety of backgrounds working together to make Bowie more "green". The Green Team was initially established to assist the City of Bowie in becoming a certified community by Sustainable Maryland Certified; with the Green Team's help, Bowie achieved this recognition in March 2013. The Green Team continues to to leverage the skills, expertise and life experiences of its members to reach out to the community and provide helpful information to inspire residents, businesses, and city government to adopt more sustainable practices.
