Bowie Man Killed in Fiery Crash
Douglas Andrew Halloran, 27, of Bowie, was killed in a one-car crashed on Defense Highway in Crownsville, according to a release issued by the Anne Arundel County Police Department.

Training Exercise Causes Ruckus in Bowie
Bowie residents reported hearing loud booms, gunfire and helicopters in the area of Routes 301 and Route 3, near Melford, in the early morning hours of Oct. 9. The military later claimed responsibility for the noise, citing a routine training exercise as the cause. 

Former Tenant Charged in Sandal Lane House Fire; Rescued Dogs' Health Declining
Julian Martin Massiah, 21, was charged with one count each of first degree and second degree arson, Brady said. Both charges are felonies and, if convicted, Massiah could face up to 30 years and 20 years in jail respectively
