Bowie Man Charged with Sexually Abusing 6-year-old Girl
The girl was reportedly in the suspect's care at the time of the alleged abuse, according to police.
A Bowie man is facing multiple charges for reportedly sexually abusing a 6-year-old girl, according to police.
Douglas Halloran, 53, is being charged with two counts of sex abuse of a minor, and third- and fourth-degree sex abuse, related to the alleged assault of a child from his neighborhood, police said in a report.
The girl was in his care at the time of the reported abuse.

The victim’s mother called police and reported the abuse on June 14. After investigating the incident, Bowie police placed Halloran under arrest the following day.
Halloran was released from custody on June 16. His trial is set for July 11. He is currently on probation for a 2012 prostitution conviction.
