Just saw this piece of gristle on The Factor. Didn't know about him, I live way south of Germantown. Where's the protest schedule? Is there anyone willing to file charges? Testify against him? Or is it another pass given to a butcher? And, while we're at it, lets roll this procedure back to 12 weeks. I'd say contact your representatives, but in Maryland that's pretty much wasted time. Dems are all about fixing "mistakes".

I dont know anything about any of these people, I just find the processes fascinating. It still looks as though the inmates are still running the asylum in AA County.. Seems like it's really easy to get rid of your boss in county government simply by complaining about them, or something to get attention. Then, a few officious people form a posse to "investigate", lawyers saddle up the complaints to file, and the poor bugger flees from his/her job. Truly fascinating, I wonder what it's like to work in anarchy.

I had no idea we needed two Dollar Stores probably less than a mile apart. Or, an Auto Zone, definitely less than a mile from the Mr. Tire currently under construction. Our home is just across Route 2 from the latest scorched earth. But then too, I forget that the people we elect no longer look out for a community's best interests once they are sworn in. Those of us who live in Edgewatet make wry remarks about " Glen Burnie south" when more brick, mortar and neon appear, but it's no longer funny; the only thing missing is the north county crime rate, for now anyway. Our date for departure is getting closer( the "rain tax" was the last straw); I'm just hoping there's a lull in construction until after we sell, so our already devalued property doesn't take another hit.

The fact that medical marajuana will soon be legal in Maryland should produce some other situations like this. If a parent is smoking a joint in the house with his or her children in the room, but not offering to share, is that also going to be contributing to the delinquincy of a minor? Contact high and all that.
ML is correct. I don't know of any businerss that hires, even fast food, without a criminal background check.

The First Amendment...for now...assures that all opinions can still be expressed publicly, about eateries at least.:). If I was looking for an amazing food experience, I think I'd change my latitude north a couple hundred miles, , realizing that the meal will be an epucurian experience, but it won't contain any salt and my soft drink will only be 16 ounces.:) .
One more thought...from the earliest history until 200&, we have never been a nation of classes, societal divisions, only income levels. Somehow that word has crept back into the lexicon, and it will only cause trouble further down the line.
Concerning local food, that's still why companies make more than one ice cream flavor...everybody's different. :)

One more comment. Hey folks, ease up on the Edgewatet cracks. I'm not from here, not even Maryland born, but this isn't Dawg Patch, hasn't been for a long time. Edgewater has a mix of incomes certainly, but so do Annapolis and Davidsonville. A quick look at home values in Edgewater will confirm that this part of the county has its share of upper middle income, and the "corporate jet" variety, just like most American communities. Also, since when does the amount of money one makes define the heart and soul of a community? I've lived here for 30+ years, straight from the NY area, and some of the best folks I have ever met are" born heres". Maybe some of the residents can't afford to eat at places like the new restaurants( anyone check the economy?), but that is not part and parcel of what Edgewater is all about. Enough, please. Especially in these trying times we need to support each other, instead of becoming more divided.

Four of us thought we'd try the new Real Fire Grill Saturday night, March 30tj, about 7:45pm. We didn't have a reservation, but we checked out the parking lot-it wasn't full, so we thought we were in luck.
At the foot of the steps leading in, there are two propane torches on either side. Wow, what a truly dramatic effect! I'm not talking tiki bar, genuinely sleek and elegant, and we figured that this was only the beginning of a great dining experience. The door wasn't staffed, and we headed right to the hostess, a very polite and very pleasant young lady, and her greeting was totally unexpected. We were told simply that the restaurant had run out of food, but she would be glad to make us a reservation for the next day. That was it. It was my turn to speak, but I was truly dumbfounded. I spent more than a few years in the hospitality industry, so I was surprised that this message was left to an employee to convey. At very least a manager, a best the owner, should have greeted us with the same news perhaps at the door. In addition to that, an offer of a discount or two for one dinners, something, to try and entice the customers back.
This situation should not have been left to that poor young lady to convey...I felt sorry for her, as I am sure she also knew how lame that message sounded.
Someone else said you can never change a first impression; concerning the Real Fire Grill, I think I'll wait till it comes out in paperback. (!!)

Don't be silly, J. There's a Sonic Burger right next to the Auto Zone, AZ won't have to serve food. :) However, Edgewater and the rest of the states on the coasts are getting fatter and fatter. Not to worry, folks. Obamacare has a plan for you who fit in the obese category( 50 lb. overweight). You will be charged extra for your health care, just like smokers will be. This isn't a " may happen", it's in the bill right now.
Instead of tort reform, which would certainly lower health care costs, instead the regime has chosen to focus on the population. Get everyone the "right" size, whatever they decide that is. Americans are no longer"free" to do as we wish, not ever again. as long as this bill stays in effect. Not saying I believe that folks should be overweight or smoke, but isn't it their right to do so? Sure, charge them extra for their health insurance, but don't force them to conform. Did anyone see what CVS has just done? Their overweight employees will have to pay more, because the coverage Obamacare demands will be too expensive for the company to absorb: they gotta increase premiums, just as predicted.
For seniors who smoke or eat too much, it will most likely result in no care...remember the utilization panels, apointed by the president; 15 people who will decide if you get care of not. " Grandma may need a pain pill instead of surgery" I believe he said.
This bill was never about health care, folks. It is about control.

What am I missing? The "victim" graduated over a year ago. Had sex with Teach after he did. He's now an adult. How the heck did anyone find out about this since it seems to have been consensual. Did somebody turn her in? Hey Patch reporters, this story needs work. Find out what the cause was, you just reported on the effect. Inquiring

Well, this IS Maryland, home of Marshmallow Marvin and Spiro Our Hero,, not to mention Willie Don. Leopold is a choir boy in comparison. Lets face it, nobody's perfect, nobody. Once we lose that lynch mob mentality, and focus on what is good about a persons performance, and chalk up the foibles( unless they're illegal), I think governments will function a whole lot smoother. How did the County function under Leopolds watch? Are we in debt? Are felony crimes skyrocketing? Is our infrastructure crumbling at an alarming rate? What about the WH occupant? Any of them, going right back to the First first. I'd say hold the cheering here until we see what will replace Leopold; sometimes the devil we know is better than the devil we don't know.
