When Shanelle Spivey was just in the 7th grade she arranged to go back to her elementary school to speak to the students about the effects littering has on the community. Her mother recorded her presentation. While playing it back for the rest of the family Shanelle
realized that she had a talent for speaking on issues that she was passionate about. She would go on to join the international speaking club, Toastmasters. Though she has many different talents including singing, rapping, dancing, and writing, she found that she was a
master of only one - public speaking. Shanelle has engaged audiences at the Red Cross, Federal Depository Insurance Corporation, and the United States General Services Administration on an array of topics, winning multiple awards and recognition.
Shanelle entered the production industry working on feature films as production manager for MJD Productions in 2008. Two years later she created her own television show, Rising Spivey. In November 2010 Shanelle released her first film, a docudrama entitled “I Rise”. As the executive producer, writer, director, and host of The Rising Spivey Show, Shanelle continues to speak on issues that matter to her. With the gift of transparency she is able to parallel her own story to
these issues and identify with her viewers. Shanelle covers topics like teenage pregnancy, the importance of understanding politics, and taking better care of the environment. She has caught the attention of her community by informing and inspiring.
Known as a free spirit, Shanelle, leaves a lasting impression on everyone she meets, encouraging them to find and nurture their passion, protect the environment, and believe in the future. Rising Spivey is just the beginning for this determined entrepreneur. The world will hear her message on Peace and rise with her.
