Dr. Toni L. Thompson-Chittams, Neighbor

<b>Dr. Toni L. Thompson-Chittams</b> has been practicing in the Metropolitan area for over 9 years.  In 1996 she obtained her Medical degree from PCOM in Philadelphia in which she was awarded the Frederick Douglass and Ethel D. Allen Scholarship; thereafter, she completed her Postdoctoral Pediatrics Residency training at Albert Einstein/Jefferson Hospital system in Philadelphia in which she was appointed Chief Resident in her Senior year. She also received clinical training at Children&#39;s Hospital of Philadelphia, nationally recognized as one of the leading Pediatric hospitals.

Dr. Thompson-Chittams is a Board Certified Pediatrician and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Her special interests includes the Care of the Newborn, Breast feeding, and Childhood Obesity. She recently initiated a support group called MDTLC (Mothers and Daughters Teaching Lifestyle Changes) designed to teach healthier lifestyle options to adolescent girls and encourage physical activity.

Dr. Thompson-Chittams currently lives in Bowie with her husband, Jesse and daughter, Alexa. When she is not seeing patients, she enjoys cycling, weight training, tennis, and kickboxing.
