ReplyHow is it that they are really worried about pollution in the storm drains. I get a dozen or so flyers and papers (which I don't order) thrown onto my sidewalk or in the gutter each week. Many of these run right to the storm drain. Sometimes in a heavy rain, and one or two neighbors are on vacation, and the papers aren't picked up, dozens of these things are floating down the storm drains. Multiply this by tens of thousands of streets. Why aren't these idiots who deliver ads and papers not cited for littering?

ReplyI guess this will make the 38th tax or fee increase since O'Malley has been in office. The state of the state sure looks different since Erlich has been gone, even with all the extra revenue. I sure hope people use their heads next time before voting.

ReplyI am not religious, but I hope the faithful Catholics find what they are looking for with the new pope. But I do have to laugh at the rituals, and the media hype. Yesterday morning on just about every news station (TV and Radio) I heard hours of continuing coverage on the color of smoke. This type of stuff makes most organized religion too "cult-like" for me.

Kudos to Scott Shellenberger. I worked with him for many years, and he knows what an important tool the death penalty is when prosecuting a case. Think of how many murderers plea to a life sentence instead of risking death, and don't put the victims of a family through a trial, and relive the entire experience again.
