Benjamin Tasker Students Facing Longer School Days
Prince George's County middle schools will see extended school days and combined bus routes next year.
Benjamin Tasker and Samuel Ogle middle school students can expect to spend an extra 40 minutes longer each day in school next year. Beginning in August, middle schools students who are struggling will receive an additional 40 minutes a day of instruction in math, science and reading while those who do not require extra help in these areas will receive extra instruction in subjects like music or foreign languages, reported WJLA.com. Prince George's County middle school students would be in class for as long as seven hours and 20 minutes, much longer than their peers in neighboring Montgomery County and Washington, DC. This is a bad idea if they are sharing the bus with high school kids. Anything can happen like get bullied. I would not let my kids ride   more ›
