Bowie Hosting MLK Art Contest
Bowie residents in grades kindergarten through 12 will be eligible to enter an art contest honoring the memory of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
As a way of honoring the life and memory of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., and raising awareness about his work, the city of Bowie will be holding and art contest for local students. Sponsored by the city’s Diversity Committee, children in grades kindergarten through 12 enrolled in an eligible school in Bowie are eligible to enter the contest. The city is holding three separate contests for three age groups—a coloring contest for children in grades K-2, a poster contest for children in grades 3-5 and a video contest for children in grades 6-12.
