2 Arrested in Connection with Helly Hansen Theft

David Nii Ofoli Ahinakwa of Bowie and an Owings Mills man are charged with stealing more than $1,700 worth of clothing from the downtown Annapolis business.

Two men have been charged in connection with the theft of more than $1,700 worth of clothing from Helly Hansen on Friday, according to Annapolis police. Officers responded to the store at 132 Main St. around noon after a store clerk reported two men ran out of the shop without paying for several items—including two $350 jackets and pants worth $500. The clerk told police that she lost sight of the men after they ran up Hyde Alley, which is next to the store. An eyewitness reported seeing the pair get into a red, Mazda four-door vehicle and speed away towards King George Street. Officers stopped the car at the BP Gas Station at 210 Ridgely Ave. and arrested David Nii Ofoli Ahinakwa, 22, of Bowie, and Jarrett Desmond Horton, 24, of Owings …

Bowie Woman Faces Theft Charges in Anne Arundel County

Police say three were involved in a string of copper wire thefts across Anne Arundel County.

A Bowie woman is facing charges in a string of copper wire thefts in Anne Arundle County that caused $147,000 in damage to local schools and parks. Dawn Marie Schofield, 41, of the 12400 block of Keynote Lane in Bowie, has been issued a criminal summons charging her with theft of under $10,000 and destruction of property. A second suspect, Michael Allen Dunlop, 27, of the 1900 block of Poplar Ridge Road in Pasadena, was charged with theft of under $10,000, burglary and destruction of property. A third suspect died in November, according to a statement from Anne Arundel County police. Police arrested Dunlop after tracking him from the theft of 300 feet of copper wire, which was reported stolen a few blocks from his residence in Pasadena. …

Man Arrested, Charged for Breaking into Grandfather’s Home

Robert Lee Willig, Jr. has been charged with theft and burglary for breaking into his grandfather's home on Lyn Place.

Bowie police have arrested a 27-year-old man on multiple charges related to breaking and entering, according to a police report. The Bowie police gave this account: An 84-year-old Bowie resident called police on Nov. 23 to report that his grandson, Robert Lee Willig Jr., had enter the victim’s home on Lyn Place without permission. The victim also told police that Willing stole and chased checks that belonged to the victim. According to the victim, Willig, whose address was not listed in the police report, allegedly also tried to force his way into the home on Lyn Place on another occasion, but was unsuccessful. Bowie police obtained an arrest warrant for Willig for theft and burglary charges. Police located Willig, placed him under arrest …

Bowie Police Arrest Two on Theft Charges

Two men from Capitol Heights are charged with stealing packages from porches in Bowie.

Bowie police charged two men in the theft of a package from a home on Jenny Brook Court last Thursday, according to a police report.  Officers arrested the two suspects, identified from a home surveillance tape, that showed them allegedly stealing the UPS package. Curtis Johnson, 18, and Tevin Smith, 20, both of Capitol Heights, were  charged with theft. Police arrested them during a traffic stop and found numerous packages belonging to Bowie residents in the backseat of their car, according to a police report. Three Bowie Teens Face Multiple Theft Charges

One suspect was apprehended at the scene of a burglary and two others were arrested shortly thereafter.

Three Bowie teens are facing theft charges related to a string of recent crimes, according to a police report. Bowie police responded to a breaking and entering call on the 15200 block of Dalebrook Drive where the victim told them that three young men had broken into his garage and taken property before fleeing in an unknown direction. While on the scene, police observed a suspect walking down the street that fit the victim’s description and carrying an item that fit the description a stolen item. Police apprehended the suspect and were able to identify him as one of the three who broke into the garage using a video recorded by home surveillance equipment at the time of the theft. Police Arrest 2 on Theft Charges

Bowie police say two men allegedly took the rims and tires off a parked vehicle.

Bowie Police arrested two men and charged them with theft on Wednesday after responding to an anonymous tip, according to a police report. Kingston Charles Williams of Clinton and Isaac Ahanmis of Capital Heights were both arrested and charged after police saw rims and tires in the backseat of their vehicle during a traffic stop. Police said they believed the rims and tires were stolen.  The report said that shortly before 2 a.m. on Oct. 17,  Bowie police received a call from an anonymous tipster that someone was removing aluminum rims and tires from a car parked in an apartment complex parking lot at the 16500 block of Governor’s Bridge Road. Bowie Police Charge Two With Theft

Krystal Leigh Morgan, 32, and Richard Thomas Eubanks, 39, are facing numerous charges related to theft from cars at Allen Pond Park.

Bowie police have arrested a man and woman in a series of thefts from cars at Allen Pond Park that occurred between May 2012 and August 2012. Krystal Leigh Morgan, 32, and Richard Thomas Eubanks, 39, both of Huntingtown, allegedly broke into numerous cars at the park over a four month period and stole wallets and purses from the vehicles, according to the police report. The report also also alleges that Morgan and Eubanks would then take the stolen property, which included credit cards, and purchase things at stores throughout Bowie and surrounding areas. The suspects allegedly left evidence at one of the stores that, in combination with a surveillance video, led to their identification and apprehension by police. Mogan and Eubanks are …
