Bowie Police Bust County-Wide Package Theft Scheme

Bowie police arrested two Greenbelt residents last week in connection a series of package thefts in Bowie and throughout Prince George’s County. Anisha Wilson, 21, and Gary Jenkins, 21, are facing multiple theft charges for allegedly stealing delivered packages from the homes of residents in Bowie and other areas of the county, according to police. Bowie police give this account of the investigation and subsequent arrest: During December 2012 and January 2013, Bowie police noted an increase in theft of packages delivered to residents. In response, the department conducted a coordinated effort to surveil and monitor the area where packages were being stolen.
