County police hope residents can help them identify the man pictured.
Prince George's County Police are hoping the public can help them identify the man pictured in this surveillance footage. According to PGPD detectives, this suspect may be responsible for two other recent bank robberies. On April 24, 2013 at 2:40 p.m., the suspect pictured walked into M&T Bank in the 3700 block of Donnell Drive in Forestville and demaded cash from a teller with a note. The suspect is described as a black male with a light complexion in his late 20s with braided dreadlocks. He wore a black-hooded sweater, a gray or black jacket and green shoes during the robbery. The Prince George's County Police are investigating the robbery of a Glenn Dale Subway.
Prince George's County Police are hoping someone can help them identify the suspects caught on tape robbing a Subway restaurant in Glenn Dale on April 11. The restaurant, located in the 4800 block of Glenn Dale Road, was robbed around 9 p.m. when the suspects reportedly walked into the business, pulled out guns and demanded money, a police press release stated. Detectives think the suspects fled the scene in a dark-colored sedan, PGPD reported. A Mitchellville man was robbed at gunpoint on Peach Walker Drive in Bowie on Friday, according to the Bowie police. Police responded to a call for a robbery at the 15000 block of Peach Walker Drive at around 7:45 p.m. on Friday. The victim, a 27-year-old man, told police that he was walking through a field when he was approached by a man with a handgun. The suspect demanded the victim’s possessions, and then began striking the victim, according to the police report. Following the assault, the suspect fled on foot down a bike path with the victim’s possessions. Police arrested a 17-year-old suspect, who they are charging as an adult, in the shooting of a 16-year-old male from the Capitol Heights community who refused to hand over his cellphone in a robbery, according to the Prince George's County Police Department. Derrick Anthony Wills of the 1200 block of Eastern Avenue in Northeast Washington allegedly approached the victim on foot at the 1200 block of Nye Street in Chapel Oaks and demanded his cellphone, according to police. Teenager refuses to give up cell phone and is shot in the arm, according to Prince George's County police.
A teen was shot around 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday while trying to resist surrendering his cell phone to an alleged armed robber, according to Prince George's County police. The suspect, who had approached on foot at the 1200 block of Nye St. in Chapel Oaks, ran off with the victim's phone after shooting him in the forearm, police said. The 16-year-old boy was taken to a local hospital in stable condition, police said. He was to be released Wednesday evening. Two students from Benjamin Tasker Middle School were charged with robbery and theft under $500 last Friday after allegedly stealing an iPhone 4S from one of their classmates, according to a police report. Bowie Police responded to a call at Benjamin Tasker last Thursday where a suspect reported that after exiting the bus on Wednesday, he was approached by two boys who said they had a weapon and demanded his iPhone 4S. Prince George's County police have released a video from last week's stickup at East Pines Liquor Store in East Riverdale—one in an apparent string of local robberies. The incident occurred on Sept. 25 at around 7:20 a.m. As seen in the video, two suspects allegedly entered the store and pulled a gun on the employees. After restraining them, police said the pair stole cash from the register and fled the scene.
