Arrest Made in Bowie Burglary

Police traced a stolen laptop computer at a pawn shop.

A Bowie man was arrested by the Prince George’s County Sheriff's Department on Wednesday and is facing charges in connection with a May 2012 burglary. According to the sheriff’s department, Bowie police obtained a warrant for Nicholas E. Scott, 22, after he allegedly stole a laptop computer from a home in the 14000 block of Darbydale Lane in Bowie on May 2, 2012. Bowie police obtained the warrant after investigating pawn shop records and finding that the stolen laptop had been pawned by Scott at a shop in Landover on May 14, police said. Sheriff's deputies investigating Scott learned his whereabouts to be in the 3300 block of Kenilworth Avenue in Bladensburg. Deputies Arrest Felony Assault Suspect in Capitol Heights

Sheriff's deputies apprehended Kenneth Ferguson at the 500 block of Cedarleaf Ave. in Capitol Heights, MD.

  Sheriff's deputies apprehended Kenneth Ferguson in Capitol Heights, MD, on an arrest warrant for first degree assault, according to the Prince George's County Sheriff's Office. Ferguson and another male suspect allegedly physically assaulted a male victim at the 500 block of Cedarleaf Ave. in Capitol Heights, according to the warrant, which was obtained on Nov. 20. Deputies Arrest "Sheriff's Most Wanted" Suspect

A suspect wanted for a July 10 armed robbery was arrested Monday.

The Prince George's County Sheriff's Office reported the arrest of Terrance Stevenson—a suspect on the "Sheriff's Most Wanted" list. Stevenson is suspected in an alleged armed robbery in Glenarden in July. He was arrested Monday, the sheriff's office reported. According to the sheriff's warrant, Stevenson allegedly robbed a man in the 8600 block of Leslie Avenue on July 10 by sticking a gun in his face and forcing him to fall over. Two other suspects then stole property from the victim, the warrant stated. Deputies learned of Stevenson's wherabouts in the 6300 block of Hillmar Drive in District Heights Monday. DNA Connects Bowie Man to 2006 Burglary

Police say Evan Adams of Bowie was arrested and charged in connection to the burglary of a bowling alley on Annapolis Road.

A local man was arrested and charged with the 2006 burglary of a bowling alley on Annapolis Road in Bowie, according to police. Prince George’s County Sheriffs arrested Evan Adams, 26, on Aug. 25 and charged him with burglarizing a local bowling alley and causing $2,300 of damage, according to the warrant. The suspect was connected to the crime when DNA recovered from the scene in 2006 was matched to Evans in March 2012. Evans was taken into custody without incident and is being held at the Prince George’s County Detention Center on charges of second-degree burglary and malicious destruction of property, according to a press release.

Fallen Sheriff's Deputies to be Honored in Wreath-laying Ceremony

New Memorial remembers Sergeant James Arnaud and Deputy First Class Elizabeth Magruder.

A memorial ceremony will be held Wednesday outside the Prince George's County Sheriff's office marking the 10th anniversary of the deaths of Sergeant James Arnaud and Deputy First Class Elizabeth Magruder.  Arnaud and Magruder were killed in August, 2002, while attempting to serve an emergency psychiatric service (EPS) petition to a man at a home in Adelphi. The man shot both offficers. The killings were the first line-of-duty deaths in the Prince George's Sheriff's department's 306-year history. The wreath-laying will be the first held at the newly-completed Memorial Monument on the grounds of the Sheriff's Office headquarters in Upper Marlboro. Man Charged With Feb. Armed Robbery in Bowie

Orlando Irving has been arrested and faces armed robbery and other charges after being at large for nearly six months.

A man was arrested and charged in Temple Hills this week on a first degree assault warrant issued by the Bowie Police Department on March 6, 2012. Orlando Irving was taken into custody by the Prince George’s County Sheriff's Office this week and is being charged with armed robbery, first degree assault, firearm use during a felonious violent crime and robbery, according to a press release. According to the arrest warrant, Irving allegedly robbed another man at gunpoint at a bus stop at the intersection of Collington Rd. and Northview Rd. in Bowie on Feb. 15 of this year Irving had been under surveillance by deputies in Temple Hills, and was arrested during a routine traffic stop in a joint operation with the United States Marshals.  The …

Sheriff's Deputy Charged With Second-Degree Rape

The Upper Marlboro resident was suspended after he was charged with sexually assaulting a female inmate.

Sheriff Deputy Lamar McIntyre of Upper Marlboro has been suspended from his post without pay after he was arrested and charged with second-degree rape. Prince George's County Police officers responded to the Department of Corrections in Upper Marlboro Tuesday at 2 p.m. for a report of a sexual assault, according to WUSA9. A 34-year old female inmate, who was awaiting trial, told detectives she was sexually assaulted by a deputy, WUSA9 reported.
