Bowie Woman Honored for Volunteer Efforts
Patricia Padgett of Bowie received the Spirit of Hospice Award.
The Hospice of the Chesapeake 170 volunteers and staff this week—known as National Volunteer Week—during its annual Volunteer Recognition Luncheon, according to a press release from the organization. Among those recognized at the luncheon was Patricia Padgett of Bowie. Padgett was awarded a Spirit of Hospice Award for her work as a "non-patient care volunteers," according to the press release. "The assistance they provide in our various departments is vital to carrying out the mission at Hospice of the Chesapeake," the press release stated.
