Hollywood rolls out its list of blockbusters with The Avengers.
A few sequels, one or two reboots, and Johnny Depp in weird costumes. The summer movie season is about to start. MTV is calling 2012 a nerdy movie summer, and also one of the biggest. Awesome special effects surrounding a non-existent script.
Starring: Not many people you’ve heard of Directed by: No one you’ve heard of Rated: R If you like really cool 3-D movies then stop reading now, and go see “Sanctum.” Really. Don’t even bother with what I have to say from here on, because you will find it worth the excessive ticket price ($14.50 matinee! Ouch!), and be in film-tech-heaven. In case I haven’t put it plainly enough—there are truly some awesome 3-d effects goin on. But, just for fun, let’s assume not everyone is into effects. Let’s assume some people like good acting, directing, and a meaningful script. Ummm… yeah. This ain’t your movie. I don’t care whose names are in the credits for direction, producing and writing… this has James Cameron micromanaging written all …
