Back to School Bash, Bowie Style

The event will feature community organizations and free giveaways for kids.

Get ready to go back to school Bowie style with the Bowie Gymnasium’s 9th Annual Back to School Bash from 10 am to 1 p.m. Aug. 18. Event organizers expect about 30 community organizations, agencies and service providers staffing tables and distribution information. In past years, vendors have included the Bowie Boys and Girls Club, the Bowie Volunteer Fire Department and the Prince George’s County Park Police, said Duncan Churches, assistant manager at the Bowie Gymnasium. Attendees also can expect a moon bounce, carnival games and more family fun. The first 250 children ages 12 and under will receive a free backpack filled with school supplies.
