A Day of Health and Wellness Education for Bowie
The 16th Annual Bowie Health Fair brings free and low-cost health services to those who otherwise would go without.
The 16th Annual Bowie Health Fair went off without a hitch and was co-sponsored by various private healthcare providers and city departments. The popular event was held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. this past Saturday, on Health Center Drive across from Bowie Town Center. This event was an opportunity for people without health insurance and other interested parties to receive a variety of free health screenings and this year's fair was no exception. Free services included testing for cholesterol, diabetes, hearing deficiencies, HIV/AIDS, and osteoporosis, among many other exams.
