Fugitive Fridays: PGPD Seek Chillum Man Accidentally Released From Jail

Frederick L. Scott was mistakenly given a $75,000 bond and released from jail while awaiting a murder trial.

Prince George's County Police seeking help locating a fugitive who was mistakenly released from jail while awaiting trial. Through the course of their investigation, detectives identified Scott, 24, of the 1900 block of Oliver Street in Chillum, as a suspect in this case, and obtained a first-degree murder warrant for him.  Police arrested him on May 5 in Las Vegas and he was extradited to Prince George’s County. Initially, Scott was remanded to county jail on a no bond status.  Due to what appears to be a clerical error, Scott was later given a $75,000 bond and released from jail after the bond was posted. Upon realizing its error, the court issued a bench warrant for Scott on Nov. 18.
