Police Seize Drugs, Gun From Bowie Home

Authorities have charged one man and issued criminal summons for several others in connection with the case.

Police arrested one man and are seeking several others after seizing various drugs and a .22 caliber rifle from a Bowie home, according to police. Bowie police give this account of the incident: On March 29 at approximately 11 p.m., Bowie police, in cooperation with the Prince George’s County Police Department (PGPD) executed a search warrant on the 2500 block of Kennet Lane in Bowie. The warrant was obtained in response several complaints of drug activity and loud parties. During the search, police recovered 15.7 grams of suspected marijuana, 0.5 grams of suspected cocaine, 1.9 grams of suspected heroin and various smoking devices and other drug paraphernalia. Police: $6K of Marijuana Found in Bowie Shed

Police were responding to a breaking and entering call on Antler Court South when they made the discovery.

A Bowie man is facing criminal charges after police allegedly found $6,560 worth of marijuana and a stolen 9mm handgun Wednesday night in a shed on Antler Court South. Norman Patrick McClain, 22, is facing 12 separate charges stemming from the discovery. According to Bowie police, officers responded to the 2700 block of Antler Court South late Wednesday when a resident reported that someone was trying to break into a neighbor’s shed. Once on the scene, officers found that the shed was locked from the outside and appeared undisturbed. But when they noticed a strong marijuana odor coming from the shed, police asked the homeowner for permission to conduct a search.  The homeowner consented, according to the police report, and officers found …
