Santa Claus is Coming..to Bowie

Local fire fighters will be bringing the jolly old elf up and down the street of Bowie, collecting donations for the Bowie Interfaith Food Pantry.

You better watch out, you better not cry and I'll tell you why—Santa Claus is coming to Bowie! Once again, the Bowie Volunteer Fire Department (BVFD) will be driving St. Nick around on fire trucks to visit local boys and girls, and to collect donations of canned goods for the Bowie Interfaith Food Pantry.  Last year, the BVFD collected over 1,000 cans of food and it is hoping to meet or exceed that goal again this year to help as many local families in need as possible this holiday season, according to its website. They're asking for support from all residents who are able to contribute. BVFD is asking that parents bring their children to the main roads to see Santa, and to prevent kids from climbing up onto the trucks.  The Santa ride …

Thanksgiving Food Donation Opportunities in Bowie

Help a neighbor in need this Thanksgiving by donating food to the Bowie Interfaith Food Pantry, or to a county-wide collection drive.
