State Democrats Make Final Push As Polls Open
Democratic candidates and voters rally in Upper Marlboro in an effort to get out the vote.
Hours before the polls opened this morning, a coalition of state democratic leaders, including Gov. Martin O'Malley (D-Md.) and presumptive Prince George's County Executive Rushern L. Baker III, made a final push to voters during a rally in Upper Marlboro. About 60 people swarmed the gymnasium at Henry A. Wise, Jr. High School Monday evening during the rally, which featured Lt. Gov. Anthony Brown (D-Md.), Sen. Barbara Barbara Mikulski (D-Md.), U.S. House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-Md.), and Reps. Donna Edwards and Elijah Cummings (both D-Md.), as elected officials urged the crowd to vote democrat on election day.
