Police Charge Bank Robbery Suspect After Chase

Police said Alexandria Mary Miller of Bowie used a gun to rob the PNC Bank in Crofton.

Police arrested a Bowie woman who they said used a gun to rob the PNC Bank in Crofton on Wednesday. According to a statement, police responded Wednesday at 11:12 a.m. to the PNC Bank located in the 1100 block of Route 3 North in Crofton for an armed robbery in progress. Officers learned a female suspect, later identifed as Alexandria Mary Miller of Bowie, approached the teller, implied she had a handgun and demanded money. The teller handed over an undisclosed amount of cash and the suspect fled in her SUV. Several officers from other jurisdictions helped search for Miller. At 11:24 a.m., a Crofton officer and a Prince George’s County officer located a suspect in the parking lot at Sacred Heart Church at 16501 Annapolis Rd. in Bowie. …

Masked Man Robs PNC Bank on Crain Highway

A suspect wearing a medical mask and plastic gloves robbed the PNC Bank located inside the Crain Highway Giant last week.

A man wearing a white medical mask and plastic gloves robbed the PNC Bank at 3500 Crain Hwy inside of the Giant grocery store on Thursday, according to a police report. At around 7:20 p.m. on Dec. 20, Bowie police responded to a holdup alarm at the PNC Bank on Crain Highway located inside of the Giant grocery store. A bank employee told police that a man entered the bank wearing a medical mask and gloves. The suspect opened his jacket to reveal what the bank employee believed to be a handgun and demanded money. The bank employee handed over the money and the suspect fled on foot. Police locked down the store to search for the suspect, but he was not found in the store, according to the report. There needs to be miniature yet POWERFUL explosive devices, NOT harmless dye packs, inbedded in the money given to bank robbers. The timer needs to be SHORT, maybe about 3 mins MAX to lessen the chance of innocents being injured. The treasury can just print REPLACEMENT bills!!! Robbery Reported at Capital One Bank on High Bridge Rd.

A man dressed in women's clothing robbed the bank shortly after it opened August 7.

UPDATED Aug. 10 Bowie Police responded to a robbery at the Capital One Bank on High Bridge Rd. in Bowie just after 9 a.m. on August 7. According to the police report, when the bank opened, a suspect described as a black man in his 30s wearing women’s clothing entered the bank and gave the teller a note demanding money. After receiving the money, the suspect fled on High Bridge Rd. on foot. Follow Bowie Patch on Facebook and Twitter for more breaking news. The perimeter was secured by Bowie Police, who also conducted a canvass of the area. A Prince George’s County K-9 unit also responded, but the suspect is still at large. Bowie Bank Robber in Custody

No one was injured in the incident that occurred on Wednesday.

A man robbed a M&T Bank in Bowie on Wednesday morning by handing a teller a note demanding money, according to police. The Bowie Police Department responded to a reported robbery at the bank located at 6990 Laurel-Bowie Rd. just before 10 a.m. Wednesday. A police report states that the teller complied and witnesses reported seeing a man flee in a green Toyota. The vehicle was located on U.S. Route 301 near Mitchellville Road and a man was taken into custody Wednesday without incident, according to a police report.  Police have not yet released the man's name in connection with this incident.
