Bowie Theft Ring Suspect Surrenders to Police

Donnell Angelo Norman, 32, surrenders to police Thursday after 10 days at-large.

Prince George’s County Police report that Bowie theft-ring suspect Donnell Angelo Norman, 32, surrendered yesterday morning. Police obtained an arrest warrant for Norman last week after searching his apartment, phone, and car and finding thousands of dollars of jewelry, clothing, and other merchandise stolen from the Nordstrom warehouse in Bowie.   Norman was observed by a loss prevention officer removing merchandise from the warehouse on June 18, putting the items in his car, driving away, and then returning to work. He was arrested on June 19 for stealing merchandise but was released on his own recognizance before police finished executing the search warrant on his property, according to police. Two Bowie Runaways Returned Home After Arrests in Laurel

Two teenage girls from Bowie were found at the Knight's Inn in Laurel with three others, marijuana, and crack cocaine.

Two Bowie teens and a Glenarden teen were returned home after police found them in a Laurel motel, reportedly with two adult males and in the presence of drugs. On the afternoon of Feb. 11, police from Anne Arundel County's Western District's PACT (Police and Community Together) Unit and District Detective Unit served a search warrant at the Knights Inn located in the 3300 block of Laurel Ft. Meade Road in Laurel. The search warrant was in response to a series of large thefts at the Walmart across the street from the motel. As police began their search, they found two adult men in their twenties with three teen girls along with marijuana and paraphernalia in plain sight. The three girls were found to be runaways from Prince George's County…

Bowie Police Make Arrests in Six Armed Robberies

More arrests are pending, says Bowie Police Chief.

Four juveniles were arrested in connection with six robberies in South Bowie since December, Bowie Police said. Some of the juveniles will be charged as adults in the cases. Police have not released the names of any suspects as the investigation is ongoing. The first of the four suspects was arrested last week. More arrests are pending, according to Acting Chief John Nesky. “We are trying to tie all the pieces together,” Nesky said. Nesky said the four individuals arrested are known to each other, but he would not label them a group. Investigators are trying to determine the roles the suspects may have played in each of the robberies. “Different people did different things,” Nesky said.
