Gary Kendall Will Replace Komminsk as Baysox Manager, Rest of Staff in Place

The Bowie Baysox Staff has been filled out with only one member of the 2010 coaching staff returning.

Gary Kendall will take over as the manager for the Bowie Baysox this season as Baltimore’s Class AA Eastern League affiliate is going to have a bit of a different look in the dugout. Kendall is replacing Brad Komminsk, the team’s manager for the past three years, as he’s moving up to Class AAA Norfolk to work as the hitting coach under skipper Gary Allenson. Kendall spent the last three years working as the manager for Baltimore’s Class A Aberdeen IronBirds, the team that Cal Ripken, Jr. started. This is his 12th season in the Orioles organization, and he also managed at Bluefield (2004) and Delmarva (2005-2007). “We’re excited to have Gary here,” said Tom Sedlacek, Bowie’s communications manager. “He’s got a good track record within the …
