Police have located the gold Dodge Avenger they say is associated with last weekend's robberies.
Prince George’s County Police investigating a string of armed commercial robberies that took place this weekend, say they located the vehicle associated with the crimes. Suspects in the May 12 robbery of the McDonalds at 20 Ritchie Road in Capitol Heights were seen in a gold 2010 Dodge Avenger with Maryland registration tags 2AR2302. Police had no further information on where and when the vehicle was found. Police gave the following descriptions of the suspects: Suspect 1 Suspect 2 The suspects are still at large, according to police spokesman Cpl. Mike Rodriguez. Erica Antonette Jackson, 39, was last seen by her husband in Upper Marlboro on Wednesday morning.
The Prince George’s County Police Department is searching for a missing Upper Marlboro woman. Erica Antonette Jackson, 39, was last seen by her husband leaving their home in the 12400 block of Open View Lane, Upper Marlboro on Wednesday morning to go to work. Celebration culminates with pit stops for "Bike to Work Day" on May 18.
Local and national bike organizations encouraged cyclists to ditch their cars this week for "Bike to Work Week," a national celebration aiming to encourage citizens across the country to bike to work, or for pleasure, on a regular basis. The week culminates in Bike to Work Day on Friday, held rain or shine, when cyclists can make a "pit stop" at one of 58 locations across the D.C. region for T-shirts, refreshments, giveaways and bicycling advice. There are are two pit stops planned in Bowie. The Prince George's County Police Department is searching for a missing Bladensburg man who suffers from dementia. Seventy-one-year-old Jimmy Richardson, who is not on medication for his condition, was last seen by his neighbor at 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, at his residence at the 4900 block of 56th Ave. in the unincorporated section of Bladensburg. Police believe Richardson walked away from the residence, and he has not been seen or heard from since. Police provide the following description for Richardson: Anyone with information about Richardson is asked to call the Prince George's County Police Department’s District I Investigative Section at 301-699-2601. A Capital News Service analysis of Prince George's County health inspection reports uncovered hundreds of health violations at Six Flags over the last 16 years. Between 1996 and 2010, park food stands were cited 761 times for storing food on the floor, improper hand washing by employees, failing to deal with insect infestations and other violations that could help spread pathogens that cause food poisoning. The Bowie Gardens for Wildlife Habitat Team, in conjunction with the city's Environmental Advisory Committee, are working to make gardens havens for local wildlife, and humans. Governor calls budget package "good for all Marylanders." Republicans say burden to local governments may force county governments to increase taxes.
The Maryland House of Delegates gave final approval Wednesday to a package of three bills that increases taxes on some state residents, shifts part of teacher pensions to local governments and undoes the so-called "doomsday budget." The votes Wednesday afternoon capped the three-day special session called by Gov. Martin O'Malley in order to override more than $500 million in cuts made in a budget passed in early April. The Senate approved the same three bills Tuesday. As part of the package, legislators approved by a vote of 86-51 what amounts to a 50-50 split of teacher pension costs with local governments.
