The WB&A Trail's right of way comes from the former Baltimore, Washington and Annapolis Electric Railway. The trail gets its name from the railway, though the actual trail does not connect the three cities. Future plans will also have this stretch of trail included in the American Discovery Trail as well as the East Coast Greenway. The trail is paved, and accommodates bikers, joggers, dog walkers and those who just want to enjoy the outdoors.
