Our extended family of 12 all went out to the Bowie Texas Roadhouse Steak House last year for my 40th wedding anniversary because everyone liked the place. We called hours ahead, arrived on time but had to wait 45 minutes. We were not seated together but the tables were somewhat close. There was a repeating drip from the ceiling over one of the seats but they refused to move us. The service was really slow and the food was cold room temperature. The staff seemed to be afraid of this manager because of the way he was treating them and treating us. When we complained we were treated as if the split seating arrangement, the ceiling drip, and the cold food were all our fault because we were just complainers. The short fat manager barked orders at us to hurry up and pay our bill and then to leave and never return. We are four familys with children who regularly dine out at that resturant but none of us will ever want to return to that property as long as that nasty manager is employed at that location. We have relayed this nightmare many times to our extended family and friends and I hope the drop in customers caused corporate management to fire this man. Wedding Anniversarys are special and my 40th wedding anniversary was ruined.....just how many times do couples get to enjoy those special days.
As long as that terrible manager is at the Bowie location I will not return and I will give the place one stars.

I've always had good food and excellent service when I've eaten at TRH. The wait can be long during peak hours, but it's worth it.
