Sugarloaf Crafts Festival in Gaithersburg

Where: Montgomery County Fairgrounds, 16 Chestnut St., Baltimore
Details: With more than 400 of the most celebrated artisans from around the country showing and selling their handcrafted work, the Sugarloaf Crafts Festival is returning to the Montgomery County Fairgrounds.

The Cover of Life
When: Friday, Saturday, Sunday
Where: Bowie Playhouse
Details: Henry Luce needs a cover story for Life Magazine, and he's found it in Tood, Weetsie and Sybil Cliffert. Intrigued by these three young Louisiana housewives, keeping the home fires burning for their husbands - three brothers who are all off at war - he sends Kate Miller to write his prize story. Produced by the Bowie Community Theatre.

Echoes Of Nature Book Fair and Nature Table
When: Saturday
Where: Barnes & Noble, 2516 Solomons Island Rd., Annapolis
Details: Story Time at 10 a.m. will feature a story of one of the Echoes of Nature ambassadors: Box Turtle at Silver Pond Lane. At the nature table from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., meet some of the staff and volunteers and learn more about Echoes Of Nature. There will be hands on activities for all ages.  

Rubber Stamping Event and Brunch

Where: The United Parish of Bowie, 2515 Mitchellville Rd., Bowie
Details: Join neighbors to make Christmas cards for hospitalized veterans. Attendees are asked to bring breakfast food and craft supplies to share if possible. 

Refresh & De-Stress: Drop In & Shop Spa Event
When: Saturday
Where: 617 Baltimore-Annapolis Blvd., Severna Park
Details: Refresh and renew your skin with some of "the finest products on Earth."  Salt scrubs, mud baths, manicures and more will be available.
