Bowie International Festival: Everything You Need to Know

All the details on the city's annual celebration of cultures form across the globe.

Saturday is the annual Bowie International Festival. Here's everything you need to know to enjoy the festivities.

When: 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday
Where: Allen Pond Park
What: Food, crafters, music and more will take attendees "around the world in just one day." 
Admission: Free
Parking: Free, at the park
Food: Nearly 20 vendors will be selling foods representative of a variety of countries and regions, including France, Thailand, Kenya, Mexico, Greek and (for the less adventurous) American.
Music: More than a dozen bands are scheduled to perform on the event's two stages. Enjoy Irish dance music, Native American drums, Latin band music, Ukrainian dance music and more. 
For the kids: Children are invited to pick up a passport and suitcase and "travel around the world," gathering passport stamps from different booths where they will complete various activities and games. A full passport earns them a prize.
