Community Comes Together to Make Blankets of Hope

Volunteers made 90 blankets and attached personal notes to each one at All Saints Lutheran Church.

 

People came together at two different churches in Bowie last weekend to participate in the Blankets of Hope project to create no-sew blankets for soldiers.

At , Deborah Rice said volunteers completed 90 blankets.

"There were a lot of angels on hand to make the blankets and write the personal notes attached to each one," Rice wrote in an email. "We had seniors, children, Girl Scouts, community service groups, National Honor Society members, and church groups. It was amazing!"

Rice added that the church plans to make it an annual event.
