Special Delivery: Woman Gives Birth to Baby in DC Metro Station

A woman gave birth to a baby boy Thursday morning on a platform at the L'Enfant Plaza Metro Station, WJLA reports.

The mother and baby were transported to an area hospital and appear to be doing well, according to the news channel.

Metro Transit police were on the scene. Washington, D.C. mayor Vincent Gray tweeted his warm wishes for the pair.
