Prince George’s County residents will have expanded access to employment and recreational opportunities in Charles County with the establishment of a new intercounty bus service.

TheBus riders will be able to access Charles County by traveling to the Brandywine Crossing Shopping Center and transferring to the Pinefield South Shopping Center. The service will be available weekdays from 6:00 a.m. to 7:50 p.m.

Riders travelling between the counties in the evenings and on the weekends can use the new Brandywine Connector route. This service connects the Brandywine Crossing Shopping Center to the Waldorf Transfer Point. The Brandywine Connector operates from 7-9:45 p.m. Monday  through Friday and Saturdays from 7-9:45 a.m. and 3:15-9:45 p.m.

Riders must pay bus fares for TheBus and VanGO when traveling between the counties during the same commute.

This is the first transportation agreement between the counties, which have been planning the service for the past year. The new routes were made possible through grants from the Job Access and Reverse Commute Program, which supports initiatives that help low-income workers travel to their jobs.
