Memorial Day Weekend Events in Bowie

From a parade to a baseball game to ceremony honoring veterans, there's a lot going on in Bowie this weekend.

Too cool out there to hit the pool this Memorial Day weekend? Not to worry—there's a lot going on in Bowie. Here's a quick rundown.

Saturday

The City of Bowie's annual Memorial Day Parade kicks off at 11 a.m. on Saturday at the Bowie High School Annex at 3021 Belair Dr. Check the full event listing on Patch for details on the parade route.

The Bowie Baysox will don red and white polka-dot jerseys and become the Belair Studs. A jersey will be auctioned off to benefit Friends of Belair Estate. Game time is at 6:35 p.m. at Prince George's Stadium. Fireworks will follow the game. 

Sunday

Grab fresh, local fare at the Bowie Farmers Market from 8 a.m. to noon in the Bowie High School parking lot. Fresh flowers and plants will also be available.

The City of Bowie's free Summer Sunset Concert Series kicks off at 7 p.m. on Saturday at Allen Pond Park. This week's music will be provided by the US Navy Band Cruisers.

Monday

A local veteran's group will honor hold a short program at Veterans Memorial Park in Old Town Bowie at 11 a.m.
