Prince George’s County Public Schools go back into session on Aug. 20 and this is your last week to buy back-to-school gear tax free.
Maryland’s Tax Free Week runs from Sunday to Aug. 18. The state’s 6 percent sales tax will be suspended on back-to-school gear like shoes, pants and shirts with some stores, such as and Stride Rite, offering 50 percent off sales on gear all week.
