Hoes got five singles and scored one run as his average jumped to .281 on the season. But New Britain scored four straight runs midway through the game for a 6-2 lead, and Bowie couldn't catch up.
The Baysox got two runs in the eighth and one more in the ninth to make it 6-5, Bowie had runners on first and second with two outs in the ninth, but Caleb Joseph flied out to end it.

Joe Mahoney went 2-for-4 with three RBI, driving in runs in three different innings. Bowie finished with 13 hits but again couldn't get them at the right time, going 3-for-12 with runners in scoring position. The Baysox left nine on base.
Rick Zagone (2-6) took the loss, with the key hit being a three-run homer from Deibinson Romero in the sixth to snap a 2-2 tie. Bowie fell to 36-34 with the loss.
