Rochambeau's March Reenactment at Belair Mansion

Join us to commemorate General Rochambeau's march to Yorktown to end the Revolutionary War...and secure the American victory!

Both Continental and British troops will drill in the Mansion garden, discuss camp life and offer visitors a chance to enlist - on the side of their choice!  An 18th century ladies' sewing circle in the parlor will catch travelers up on the 18th century gossip.  Youngsters can play colonial games in the garden.

At 2:15, Dr.Robert Selig, an expert on Rochambeau's march, will present a talk, "To Yorktown and Victory, or: how Belair in September 1781 played host to Hundreds of People and Thousands of Animals," in the Mansion.
