Bowie Drops Third Straight Game
Baysox fall five behind Harrisburg, hold one-half game lead over Richmond for last playoff spot
Bowie's recent late-season skid continued Saturday night as four errors helped Erie score a 6-2 victory over the Baysox.
That was Bowie's third straight loss. The Baysox now are 71-61 and five games behind Western Division-leading Harrisburg. But Bowie is holding a one-half game lead over Richmond (71-62), which also won Saturday night.
The four Bowie errors led to two unearned runs that hurt the Baysox. Erie took an early 3-0 lead over Bowie and never trailed as the errors caused problems in the seventh and eighth innings.
