Bowie Baysox Renewing Lease with County

The minor league baseball team is renewing its lease to play in Prince George's County when its current contract expires at year's end.

Minor league baseball is staying in Maryland for the foreseeable future.

The Bowie Baysox is renewing its lease with Prince George’s County to continue playing in the area, the Capital Gazette reports.

The minor league team affiliated with the Baltimore Orioles has played at Prince George’s Stadium since 1994, a year after the team’s opening season.

According to the Gazette, the team’s new lease is requesting the county cover renovation costs to the PG ballpark.

The Baysox are playing home games against the Altoona Curve.
