Bowie beats Portland in first of two, second game rained out.
Bowie beat Portland, 10-7, in the first game of a scheduled doubleheader Sunday afternoon.
This was a seven-inning game as it was to be the first of two. The second game, however, got rained out. The victory pushed Bowie back over .500 to 32-31 overall.
Bowie scored six runs in the first inning and 10 in the first three to take command in the game. Brandon Waring homered and drove in five runs to lead the Baysox.

Waring now has eight homers this season, tied for first on the team with Ronnie Welty. His five RBIs tied Robbie Widlansky for the most in a game this season.
