The Baysox couldn't hold a two-run lead Friday night and dropped a 4-3 decision to New Britain.
The loss dropped Bowie out of first place. The Baysox fell to 66-52 and are now one-half game behind Harrisburg in the Western Division.
In addition, this loss ended a five-game winning streak.

Bowie had taken a 3-1 lead by scoring three runs in the sixth. LJ Hoes, Joe Mahoney and Greg Miclat each drove in a run. But the Baysox finished with only four hits overall—and all of their runs were unearned.
But New Britain answered with three runs in the seventh to win it. The winning run scored on a Mark Dolenc fielder's choice. Zach Clark (7-8) took the loss.
