Baysox Fall to Erie in 12
Rivero's wild pitch scores winning run in top of 12th; Erie takes 3-2 victory.
The Baysox blew an early two-run lead, and Raul Rivero's wild pitch in the top of the 12th inning brought in the winning run to give Erie a 3-2 victory Saturday night at Prince George's Stadium.
With Brian Matusz back in town making a six-inning rehab start, the Baysox didn't have trouble early. Steven Lerud's RBI double made it 1-0 in the first, and Caleb Joseph added a run-scoring single in the sixth.
Matusz gave up no runs on three hits in six innings, but Erie rallied after he came out of the game, forcing extra innings.
