Baysox Edge Reading in 10 Innings, Move Into First
Bowie tops Phils, 6-4, and takes over first place in Western Division
Bowie pushed across two runs in the top of the 10th inning Wednesday night to pull out a 6-4 victory over Reading.
The win gave Bowie (64-51) a one-half game lead over Harrisburg in the Western Division of the Eastern League.
Steve Lerud gave the Baysox the lead with an RBI single in the 10th. Xavier Avery added an insurance run on a force-out.

Buck Britton had helped the Baysox take charge early with a two-run triple in the first. Bowie eventually took leads of 3-0 and 4-2 before Reading rallied to tie it at 4 and force extra innings.
This is the first time Bowie's been in first place since last Wednesday.
