Bowie hits three homers, and three pitchers combine for two-hit shutout
The Baysox hit three homers, and three Bowie pitchers combined for a two-hitter as Bowie rolled to a 6-0 victory over New Britain at Prince George's Stadium Saturday night.
Wynn Pelzer (2-6) gave up just two hits in 5 1/3 innings. He battled control troubles, walking six while striking out only two. But Cole McCurry and Jose Diaz combined to hold the Rock Cats hitless in the final 3 2/3 innings.
Brandon Waring got a two-run homer while Robbie Widlansky and Caleb Joseph also hit solo shots. The Baysox were shut out in their two previous games.

The Rock Cats certainly had their chances. They went 0-for-11 with 10 runners left on base.
Bowie improved to 27-30 and five games out.
