Baysox Bang Out 15 Hits, Beat B-Mets

Mahoney, Hoes continue recent hot streaks, helping Bowie to victory

The Bowie bats awakened from a recent slump on Sunday by coming up with 15 hits en route to a 6-4 victory over Binghamton at Prince George's Stadium.

Joe Mahoney went 3-for-4—all doubles—and drove in a run. Pedro Florimon also had a 3-for-4 game. L.J. Hoes, Buck Britton and Brandon Waring all went 2-for-4.

Hoes finished 2-for-4 with two RBI and two runs scored. The Bowie native now is hitting .293 with the Baysox.

Michael Ballard (3-0) came on in the third inning, taking over after Alfredo Simon threw the first two as part of his rehab assigment. Ballard gave up three runs on five hits in five innings -- but he struck  out seven.

Armando Gabino threw a scoreless ninth for his third save.
