Akron Blanks Bowie, 3-0

Two Akron homers is enough for Aeros to post shutout of Baysox in Eastern League game Tuesday night.

Bowie starter Zach Clark pitched well, but he gave up two homers that let Akron score all of its runs in a 3-0 victory over the Baysox Tuesday night at Prince George's County Stadium.

Clark (1-1) threw 6 2/3 innings and gave up three runs on eight hits, but a two-run homer from Juan Diaz and a solo shot from John Drennen was enough for the Aeros on this night.

Akron starter Brett Brach threw six innings of two-hit ball as the Baysox got only three hits overall.

Bowie didn't threaten much and went just 0-for-2 with runners in scoring position.

The Baysox finish the homestand with a game Wednesday versus Akron.
