Maryland Women's Business Center Expands Program to Bowie BIC

MWBC hopes to eventually expand the program to Howard Frederick counties.

A recent grant to the Rockville-based Maryland Women’s Business Center will allow the program to expand to the Bowie Business Innovation Center, home to a growing number of women owned businesses, according to a press release.
According to its website, MWBC "conducts training, offers technical assistance, and provides resources for entrepreneurs seeking to start and grow women-owned enterprises."

Thanks to a grant from the Small Business Administration Office of Women’s Business Ownership, these programs will now be extended to women owned client companies at Bowie BIC.

“The availability of MWBC programs at Bowie BIC will provide student internship opportunities and be a catalyst for the increased development and growth of women-owned businesses in Prince George’s County," Prince George's County Councilwoman Ingrid Turner (District 4) said in a statement.

MWBC hopes to eventually expand the program to Howard and Frederick counties.
