"Not in my neighborhood!” is what some some Prince George’s County parents say to proposed cellphone tower going up at their children’s schools.
The Washington Post reports Prince George’s County Public Schools has an agreement with Milestone Communications to construct cell towers on the properties of nine schools, including Bowie's Benjamin Tasker Middle School and Oxon Hill’s namesake Oxon Hill Middle School.
Prince George’s schools are to receive $25,000 for each school site where a tower is to be built, and $2.5 million over five years.
