PHOTO: Girl Scouts Make Blankets of Hope

Volunteers, including a scout troop of girls who attend Crofton Meadows, helped make nearly 300 blankets on Saturday for soldiers.

Girl Scout Troop 1849, made up of girls who attend , participated in making at in Bowie on . Volunteers made 280 blankets at the church, according to Jennifer Gibson. The fleece blankets will be distributed to injured and ill U.S. soldiers at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center in Germany.
