PGCPS Holding Systemic "Lockdown" Drills Tuesday
No persons will be allowed to enter or exit the buildings during the 20 minute "code red lock down" drill.
On Tuesday at 10 a.m. Prince George's County Public Schools (PGCPS) will hold a system wide lockdown safety drill, according to notifications received by area parents.
"The purpose of the drill is for staff and students to practice our safety procedures," stated a recorded messaged received by parents of Riverdale Elementary School students on both Friday and Sunday evenings.
The drill will reportedly last 15 to 20 minutes. During the drill, no one will be allowed to enter or exit the school buildings.
